American Thoracic Society

The American Thoracic Society improves global health by advancing research, patient care, and public health in pulmonary disease, critical illness, and sleep disorders. Founded in 1905 to combat TB, the ATS has grown to tackle asthma, COPD, lung cancer, sepsis, acute respiratory distress, and sleep apnea, among other diseases.

University of California Los Angeles

For more than half a century, UCLA Health has provided the best in healthcare and the latest in medical technology to the people of Los Angeles and throughout the world. 

Cedars-Sinai is one of the largest nonprofit academic medical centers in the U.S. with 886 licensed beds, 2,100 physicians, 2,800 nurses and thousands of other healthcare professionals and staff. In addition, Cedars-Sinai serves the community through its Medical Network, which includes the highly rated Cedars-Sinai Medical Group and Cedars-Sinai Health Associates.

Barlow Respiratory Hospital specializes in serving medically complex patients dependent on a ventilator to take their next breath. They were founded in 1902 and are dedicated to achieving the best possible outcomes for quality of life. Barlow Respiratory Hospital is the only not-for-profit Long-Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) in California. Doctors from hospitals throughout Southern California refer their most medically complex and fragile patients to Barlow Respiratory Hospital.
